Does Nicotine Replacement Therapy Work?

Nicotine Replacement Therapy is one of the more popular methods used to quit smoking these days. Problem is, you always see discouraging statistics such as, say, a 1.6% success rate. The question on all of our minds is, then, does nicotine replacement work?

Reread that intro for a second. 1.6% success rate. That means that roughly 3 people out of every two hundred that use it succeed in quitting smoking. That's abysmal, and at that low, no statistician in their right mind would conclusively link success to nicotine replacement therapy.

The problem with NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) is that it works on a set of flawed principles. The worst of these is the idea that smoking is a physical disease that can somehow be cured by some magic pill, patch, or gum. That simply isn't the case. Why? Read on!

Think about when you smoke. You don't smoke every hour, like clockwork. You don't adhere to any rigid schedule where you absolutely must have a cigarette all the time. Just the opposite, in fact. You've had a couple of times (maybe even regularly) where you can't smoke for several hours. That doesn't bother you, though, because you know that you'll have a cigarette as soon as you can. On the flipside, try telling yourself that you are never going to have a cigarette again and you probably won't last very long.

The underlying cause for cigarette addiction is that you have trained your mind to need a cigarette at various points during the day. Telling yourself to quit, directly or through nicotine replacement therapy, isn't going to do anything other than drive you nuts, because you're still trained to need that cigarette.

Now for the tricky part. You need to teach your mind that it doesn't need cigarettes. This can either be done through a long, drawn out, half-year process, or in just a few hours, depending on which way you go. You don't want to waste all that time in agony, so we're just going to cover the second one here:

What you need in order to break those ties in just a few hours is a pack of smokes (you need to smoke a few times during the course of this process) and something called The EasyQuit System which will walk you through breaking out of your mental prison. When you've finished, you won't even think about cigarettes ever again. Picture being able to hang out with your smoking buddies, not concerned with smoking, amazing them that you've kicked the habit so easily!

Remember, all you need are some cigarettes and the guide, which you can pick up by clicking right here.
