The best way to quit smoking is do meditation, and find many new hobbies and try to concentrate your mind to other stuffs so that you can quit smoking. If you are addicted to smoking then you can try with electronic cigarettes it will help you to give up smoking gradually.

It is not a joke to stop quitting and it must done in a gradual manner.Rather than try to quit one can try using the E-cigarettes which is less hazardous.

i’m not sure how much i buy into the whole e-cigarette deal. sure, you’ve got something to smoke that cures your chemical cravings and all that...but what happens when you run out of e-things?

you jump right back to cigarettes, that’s what happens.

I agree Jango25. I tried weening myself off of cigs and couldn’t do it. I would end up smoking anyway. Not to mention, you are only prolonging the addiction. I just stopped smoking, period. Cold turkey. The withdrawls only last about 3 to 5 minutes each time, so I just battled them as they came along. I would chew a piece of gum, drink water, take a few deep breaths and the craving would pass. For me, once I made it through the first 72 hours, I was fine. In no way shape or form was it easy to do, but it was well worth it. I was spending $450 per month to smoke. Not to say that every now and then I didn’t want a smoke but these were mental cravings, not physical ones. The mental cravings for me are a lot easier to deal with then the physical withdrawls which are over now.

Thanks for posting, Llbranum!

Band-aiding the problem is never a good thing. If you’re going to quit, quit. Don’t find a replacement.
The same goes for people who replace cigarettes with hard candy, although personally I’d rather be addicted to candy than cigarettes.

The best way to quit smoking by following the tapering off method would be, by making up your mind strong enough, not to exceed beyond few cigarettes and successively withdraw smoking cigarettes.
